Art Supply List

Art Supplies are always a need for SAGE.

SAGE utilizes donated art supplies in three ways:

1.

Donated tools and equipment is set up and maintained for artists and community members to utilize during our Open Studio events and, at times, for Social Prescription Classes

2.

Consumable supplies (paint, canvases, paper, fabric, inks, etc) are also available during Open Studio. These are items that need replenishing, and individuals are able to take home whatever they make using these products. These supplies are also used during our outreach program, Creatively Engaged Community, and are the main source of supplies for artists to create Social Prescription Classes with.

Sourcing specific supplies to artists with a need: Sometimes we have artists who use specific supplies in their medium of choice and come to us when they need a hand up to keep creating. We’re happy to be a place anyone can come and get art supplies from, removing the barrier of cost to create.

Here is a list of regularly utilized supplies, as well as a few higher-dollar requests for equipment in our studio:

  • Canvases (8×10, 11×14, and 16×20 preferred)
  • Acrylic Paint (brands like Golden, Liquidtex, and Artist’s Loft preferred)
  • Paint Brushes
  • Posca or Pintar Paint Markers
  • Sharpie Paint Markers
  • Embroidery floss
  • Embroidery hoops (under 8″)
  • Beads and Bead cording
  • Jewelry Making Supplies
  • Cardstock
  • New frames and mats for photography
  • 35mm film
  • Gently used or new 35mm film cameras in good working order
  • Prismacolor Colored Pencils
  • Air Dry Clay (White Crayola brand preferred)
  • Vintage Fabrics
  • Old Magazines (pre-1980)
  • Uhu Brand Glue Sticks
  • Cardstock/Scrapbook paper
  • Sketchbooks
  • Watercolor paper/Mixed Media Paper
  • Gift Cards to Michaels, Joann Fabrics, Amazon, or Blick Art Supplies
