Introducing SAGE’s “Social Prescription Calendar”, a collection of Brown County area arts and culture events that are FREE to participants and attendees.
In the summer of 2024, SAGE began researching the concept of Social Prescribing, collecting studies and reading our way through a pile of books that highlight the importance of social infrastructure in order to build social capital and all for the sake of living in a thriving, supportive community. What we learned was that our programs like Open Studio, our “One Night Only” exhibits, Creatively Engaged Community, and even our Modern Warriors initiative were all perfect candidates for social prescribing. We called on some of our best collaborators to oversee two of the necessary three roles in Social Prescribing- Link Workers and Community Organizations (many of these orgs are both!). In late January of 2025 we gathered and SAGE gave a presentation on the collaborative proposal. Thus, the Social Prescription Calendar made its way to existence, and we greatly look forward to being present for our community members and their mental health as we collectively address this epidemic of isolation and loneliness.

Need help with pricing your works, or anything else related to the business of artistry…we can help with that too! Just wanna chat all things art or spin some records with like-minded creative folks? That’s exactly what Open Studio is for.
There’s no formality to Open Studio, it’s just a night we open our doors to anyone and everyone who wants to hang out for the sake of the arts. We know how important it is that creatives create something, whether it's your next piece of work or a connection.
Open Studio is located inside the Bellin Building at 130 E. Walnut St. in Green Bay. Take the elevator to the 6th floor and you will find us inside #601. See you there!
