Indigenous: Born on the Yankton Sioux Reservation, Mato Nanji (Ma-TOE NON-gee) channels his heritage into powerful blues rock. His band, Indigenous, formed in the late ‘90s with his siblings, released the award-winning debut Things We Do and toured with B.B. King. Mato’s father, Greg Zephier, Sr., was both a respected spiritual leader and musician, exposing Mato to the world of blues. When Indigenous disbanded in 2006, Mato carried on the name, releasing acclaimed albums that explored Native struggles. His 2014 album, Time Is Coming, is dedicated to Indigenous youth, addressing family struggles on reservations.

BAMMY Awards 2024 Blues Artist of the Year; founder of The Delta Jets, 2019 winners Big Bull Falls Blues Fest Battle of the Bands; 2007 finalists International Blues Challenge in Memphis; with many Blues Festival appearances around the Midwest. Dale spends hours daily, teaching lessons, performing songs, and displaying slide guitar techniques on YouTube, with over 5000 subscribers and 1.5 million views.
